How to Properly Clean a Headstone
Cleaning a headstone is not as difficult as it may seem.
With just a few basic supplies, you can have your loved one’s headstone looking shiny and new in no time.
Here are the supplies you’ll need:
- A bucket
- Water
- Mild dish soap
- A soft-bristled brush
- A clean cloth
Now that you have your supplies, let’s get started!
Fill your bucket with water and add a small amount of mild dish soap.
Dunk your brush in the soapy water and then begin scrubbing the headstone in a circular motion.
Be sure to go over the entire surface of the stone.
If there are any tough spots, you can use a soft-bristled toothbrush to get into all the nooks and crannies.
Once you’ve scrubbed the entire headstone, rinse it off with clean water from your bucket.
Use your cloth to dry-off any remaining water droplets.
And that’s it! You’ve successfully cleaned your loved one’s headstone.
What next?
We hope this guide was helpful in showing you how to properly clean a headstone.
Though the grieving process is difficult, keeping up with the maintenance of our loved ones’ final resting places can help us feel closer to them.
